Tom Kelley
Principal – Strategy & Operations
Tom has 25 years in marketing and has served on the management team at the National Restaurant Association, as well as two terms as an Industry Representative on the NRA Board of Directors, working alongside industry icons to advance the restaurant and hospitality industry. He has advised and provided valuable insight to management of corporate, trade association, and non-profit clients in all areas of strategic marketing and branding. Tom has worked with consumer brands like Target Corporation, Nabisco, and Pepsi, and regional businesses like Black Water Distilling Company, Weathervane Seafood Restaurants, and Brandon Green & Associates Real Estate. He has a unique talent for bringing all the right stakeholders together, forming alliances that are win-win situations for all. Knowing how to develop and deliver clear marketing messages has won Kelley praise from business leaders from coast to coast. He frequently writes on issues involving the tourism and hospitality industry in Nation’s Restaurant News and has been quoted and interviewed for various regional business journals and BusinessWeek on retail branding and marketing trends.

Steve Gostin
Managing Director – Restaurants | Hospitality
Steve has been a leader in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Having worked his way through the industry; from host to bartender, to general manager, and director positions, Steve has managed multi-million dollar operations with great success. From independent start-ups to nightclubs and even California gaming, Steve has created a program of development that promotes training, coaching, and motivation in business.Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Arts degree in Education. He is an accomplished coach, trainer, speaker, and writer. Steve is also a certified instructor for the TiPS program for responsible service of alcohol. His philosophy is one that he teaches and practices the idea that managing is about people. “We have to start with learning what people want and then determine the most effective way to provide it to them”. “Manage your team and your guests. Don’t manage your business, operate it.” He says.

Chuck Smith
Principal – Interactive
12 years in marketing and sales gave our fearless leader, Chuck, the savvy he now brings to our clients. His years in web design and development allows him to deliver a “smart”, world-class product. He is a big believer in a balance between design and functionality, and brings that core belief to all our interactive projects. Chuck is fond of saying, “My job is to deliver a site that communicates the brand’s message, with the correct tone & voice, while giving the user a good experience”. When not tied down to a computer keyboard he is a husband and father of two children. He is also currently working on restoring and customizing a 1970 Chevy truck.

Larry Bevins
Principal – Creative
25 years of experience in branding, strategic design, advertising, copywriting, and education. Over 105 awards in graphic design and advertising, including Print, Mobius, ADDY, and the Art Director’s Club. Former agency owner. Creative Director at several of San Diego’s largest, and most respected, agencies. All this, combined with an absolute laser-like focus on delivering results for clients, makes Larry the “brand hero” most companies long for. “Most designers are decorators. Businesses don’t need decorators. They need visual problem solvers”, says Larry, who constantly focuses on visual problem solving and information architecture. His accomplishments have been featured in publications like Print Magazine and Black Book. Outside of work he is a husband, father of two children, and avid sports car nut, as proved by his life-long involvement in racing and instructing.

Martha Smith
Principal
Martha works behind the scenes to keep the business running on all 12 cylinders. She acts as office manager, legal liaison, banking consultant, account coordinator, chief accountant, and head nutritionist (she makes killer enchiladas). She doesn’t have a creative bone in her body, but she’s the proverbial “glue” that holds this agency together.

Aaron Robertson
Graphic Designer
A recent graduate in graphic design, along with 3 years of experience, Aaron brings just the right amount of “freshness” and enthusiasm to APMG. He likes to focus on design details for our clients, insisting on never compromising, making him a perfect fit for our firm. When not at work Aaron is a fairly prolific photographer and avid movie buff.
